OUR HISTORY
behind the bloodline
I am originally from Germany and emigrated to the Netherlands at the age of 19 to study. There I met my husband Jonah and with him our Dutch family grew very quickly.
I discovered my love for dachshunds at a young age. My mother has been breeding dachshunds for over 40 years and when I was young she bred Rhodesian Ridgebacks under the kennel name Ukunda FCI. I have had puppies around me all my life. Our dogs are my best friends. Since I was a toddler I have accompanied my mother to dog shows and I have taken part in junior handling myself. We traveled all over Europe because my mother bred an international multi-champion bitch called Ukunda Celine.
My first dachshund was a standard wire-haired dachshund called Schnecke. I spent most of my time in the woods with her. She was trained as a hunting dog and received the highest honor title “DTK Working Winner” for her special performance in hunting. With her we bred wire haired dachshunds until we discovered our love for smooth haired dachshunds. After my mother's friend Miklos Jescenzcky (Kisjeszeni, Kennel uit Hongarije) died, we inherited some of his dogs. Our love for smooth haired miniature and rabbit sized dachshunds was born. My personal preference at the time was for the dapple dachshunds. Kisjeszeni Marvel Kingley was our pride and joy and he wrapped everyone around his finger with his enchanting character. The character and exterior of the Kisjeszeni bloodline are still convincing.
I have waited many years for a dream dog from this bloodline so that I can continue this old European type, so that these beautiful dogs with their incredibly sweet character are not lost. In 2022 Betty was born to an acquaintance in Hungary and with her the preservation of this amazing bloodline.
