We have been in love with dachshunds for many years because of their big character in a small size. They are great companions and family dogs, but they are so much more than just lap dogs. They were originally bred for hunting and are characterized by their assertiveness, strength of will, intelligence and form a particularly strong bond with their owners. The character of a dachshund cannot be compared to that of any other breed of dog. This makes dachshunds so special.

 

My great hobby and passion is breeding and taking part in dog shows. That's why I started my own kennel in 2024, to breed a litter of dachshunds every now and then. I breed with great care to preserve and improve the breed. Genetically healthy dogs are my main focus. Therefore we also adhere to the guidelines presented by the Raad van Beheer and the Dutch Dachshund Club. This means that all our dogs have had an ECVO eye examination and are free of hereditary diseases (PRA), and that they have received the conformation score of Excellent or Very Good from a judge at an international dog show. The health and good character of our dogs is particularly important to us.

 

Our dogs live in our house and are part of our family. My husband Jonah and I live with our two children in the cute, traditional Dutch village of Laren near Amsterdam. We are surrounded by nature reserves and go hiking with our dogs on the heath and in the forest every day. Our puppies grow up in a large house with a large garden. It is particularly important to us that our puppies come into contact with everyday stimuli and noises and learn to deal positively with things like vacuum cleaners, children and strangers. In this way we want to lay a good foundation for a socialized dog that can find a good home in its new family.

We limit our litters and dogs so we can give each dog the attention and love they need.
